Learn beginner tumbling and gymnastics skills while exploring athletic movement in this dynamic class. Children will practice the proper positioning for handstands, cartwheels, forward rolls, and more while engaging classroom skills including direction-following through positive reinforcement. Parents and guardians will act as coaches to help lead their children through the guided activities which promote strength-building, coordination, agility, and balance in a fun and social atmosphere. *Parent/guardian collaboration on the gym floor is required throughout the class.   Laura Chadha is a Certified Personal Trainer with a strong background in gymnastics, functional fitness, and coaching.

HIGH SCHOOL SPRING LEAGUEJoin the Freeport Ultimate program* and compete against other schools in this ultimate frisbee league! High school teams will practice at Hunter Road Field in the 3-6pm time frame (exact schedule TBD). These sessions will consist of co-ed drills and scrimmages, as well as single-gender play so that players may learn how to play under both rule sets. Teams will have the option to split into separate gender divisions (Open or Girl-Matching) for games, and also may play in the Mixed Division for additional games if desired. Game days will take place on Tuesdays, with backup days (weather, other rescheduling) on Wednesdays and Thursdays. All teams have the option to attend single-day tournaments throughout the season, for an additional fee.Please note that participation in the High School Division also requires either a Rec Affiliate Membership (additional $20 cost) or a Youth Membership with USA Ultimate (additional $45 cost).*This program registration open to players from Freeport, Durham, Pownal, ME Coast Waldorf School, GorhamWainwright Field Map (for HS Spring League Games):MIDDLE SCHOOL SPRING LEAGUEThe middle school season will consist of two practices per week, with an emphasis on learning basic fundamentals, rules and strategy of the game. Join us to learn beginning jazz and hip hop dance moves, conditioning and improvisation.  Get ready to have fun and work hard as we move to the beat!  Age appropriate music will be used for all sessions. Please send your dancer with comfortable flexible clothes (no jeans) and sneakers. Morse Street second grader are encouraged to sign up for classes at Mast Landing and may take their regular bus there on class day. On the last day of the Winter and Winter/Spring classes there will be a parent showcase.All Late Spring dancers are invited to perform at the FHS Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, June 9.
 
4:30 PM - 5:15 PM    Tiny Tappy Toes Dance Combo - Dance Winter/Spring
Learn basic ballet, tap and creative movement steps. Dance teaches self confidence, balance, and coordination and keeps a child's mind and body working together. Bring a pair of socks or flexible shoes and dress shoes (for tap technique) to every class. Ballet and tap shoes are recommended but not required.  Please send your dancer with comfortable, flexible clothes: not jeans.  The last day of the Winter and Winter/Spring classes will feature a parent showcase.All Late Spring dancers are invited to perform at the FHS Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, June 9.

More information about this group can be found at here: NHMYRU HomepageIn partnership with the Portland Rugby Football Club, USA Rugby, and the New England Free Jacks, the MHSRA & NHMYRU is bringing rugby to Maine! The boys division will have five teams in ME, based out of these communities: Berwick, Freeport, Portland, Presque Isle and Waterville. The girls division will form a super-regional team that will compete against other high school clubs from New England. Both groups will practice* at Freeport High School on week days (Sundays indoors until the weather allows outdoor practices), and compete in weekend tournaments. The 'Spring Sevens' 7v7 tournaments will align with the spring MPA sports season, running from March through June. At SparkYou's Mystic Creatures Camp, we turn kids' love of Pokémon-style creatures, dragons, fairies, unicorns, and sneak in real hands-on science whiole they are not looking.  Campers become “trainers” as they go on quests, explore real science concepts like chemistry, physics, elemental forcesof Pokémon (water, fire, ice, earth, and electricity), and solve creative challenges in a fun, safe, and educational environment.  Along the way, campers exchange cards, build confidence, friendships, and a genuine love of science.  Side effects may include new friends, boosted confidence, big laughs, and coming home convinced they are bow part scientist, part creature trainer.Staff:  SparkYou Camp is run by a team of energetic, kid-loving staff who genuinely enjoy science, the outdoors, and helping kids have “aha!” moments (and who don’t panic when things get messy).  With a small student-to-counselor ratio, no camper gets lost in the crowd - everyone is seen, supported, and encouraged.  Our programs are led by a highly educated main teacher with advanced science degrees supported by trained counselors who keep activities fun, safe, and engaging.

At SparkYou's Mystic Creatures Camp, we turn kids' love of Pokémon-style creatures, dragons, fairies, unicorns, and sneak in real hands-on science whiole they are not looking.  Campers become “trainers” as they go on quests, explore real science concepts like chemistry, physics, elemental forcesof Pokémon (water, fire, ice, earth, and electricity), and solve creative challenges in a fun, safe, and educational environment.  Along the way, campers exchange cards, build confidence, friendships, and a genuine love of science.  Side effects may include new friends, boosted confidence, big laughs, and coming home convinced they are bow part scientist, part creature trainer.Staff:  SparkYou Camp is run by a team of energetic, kid-loving staff who genuinely enjoy science, the outdoors, and helping kids have “aha!” moments (and who don’t panic when things get messy).  With a small student-to-counselor ratio, no camper gets lost in the crowd - everyone is seen, supported, and encouraged.  Our programs are led by a highly educated main teacher with advanced science degrees supported by trained counselors who keep activities fun, safe, and engaging.

Please check out the details below: Spring Season (updated 3/17/26):The Maine High School Rugby Association (MHSRA) has transformed, and combined powers with programs in other New England states to compete under the umbrella of the New Hampshire-Maine Youth Rugby Union (NHMYRU). More information about this group can be found at here: NHMYRU HomepageIn partnership with the Portland Rugby Football Club, USA Rugby, and the New England Free Jacks, the MHSRA & NHMYRU is bringing rugby to Maine! The boys division will have five teams in ME, based out of these communities: Berwick, Freeport, Portland, Presque Isle and Waterville. The girls division will form a super-regional team that will compete against other high school clubs from New England. Both groups will practice* at Freeport High School on week days (Sundays indoors until the weather allows outdoor practices), and compete in weekend tournaments. The 'Spring Sevens' 7v7 tournaments will align with the spring MPA sports season, running from March through June. You can expect schedule updates to come directly from the league managers and team coaches.*Note: The team will practice outside at Freeport High School on the JBS Turf whenever possible; the Morse Street School Gym is reserved throughout the season in case practices need to be moved indoors.The practice schedule is listed below (click "view times"), but registration for this program must be done directly through the NHMYRU Website. Slime Masters is now Science Masters! Science Masters Session I (Winter): Join our after-school class, a hands-on chemistry and physics enrichment program designed to help students understand how materials behave and change. Each week, children explore states of matter, chemical reactions, elasticity, viscosity, and magnetism through guided experiments and structured investigations.Students will create and test different compounds (such as stress ball, elephant toothpaste, glow-in-the-dark and magnetic slime) while practicing scientific concept of trial and error. These activities support focus, confidence, and sensory regulation. Class is led by a highly educated instructor and emphasizes real science concepts presented in a fun, engaging age appropriate way.Science Masters Session II (Spring): Join our after-school class, where children explore technology and engineering through engaging, hands-on learning. Each week, students investigate how science shapes the world around them—from how video games are created and what pixels are, to how temperature, forces, and motion affect materials and movement. Students will build speed ramp, experiment with heating and cooling using ice and test magnetic forces using Minecraft blocks. These activities support focus, confidence, and sensory regulation.The class is led by a highly educated instructor and is designed to present rigorous science in an engaging, age-appropriate way that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and hands-on learning. MSS 2nd graders may take their regular bus to MLS for this program.

Join us to learn beginning jazz and hip hop dance moves, conditioning and improvisation.  Get ready to have fun and work hard as we move to the beat!  Age appropriate music will be used for all sessions. Please send your dancer with comfortable flexible clothes (no jeans) and sneakers. Morse Street second grader are encouraged to sign up for classes at Mast Landing and may take their regular bus there on class day. On the last day of the Winter and Winter/Spring classes there will be a parent showcase.All Late Spring dancers are invited to perform at the FHS Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, June 9.

Learn basic ballet, tap and creative movement steps. Dance teaches self confidence, balance, and coordination and keeps a child's mind and body working together. Bring a pair of socks or flexible shoes and dress shoes (for tap technique) to every class. Learn beginner tumbling and gymnastics skills while exploring athletic movement in this dynamic class. Children will practice the proper positioning for handstands, cartwheels, forward rolls, and more while engaging classroom skills including direction-following through positive reinforcement. Parents and guardians will act as coaches to help lead their children through the guided activities which promote strength-building, coordination, agility, and balance in a fun and social atmosphere. *Parent/guardian collaboration on the gym floor is required throughout the class.   Laura Chadha is a Certified Personal Trainer with a strong background in gymnastics, functional fitness, and coaching. 
 
9:30 AM - 10:30 AM    Tumbling & Fitness with Craft - Tumbling - Late Spring
Learn and improve basic gymnastics floor, youth fitness, and beam skills while attaining series connection proficiency in a positive and productive environment. Skills including handstands, cartwheels, round-offs, and forward rolls will be taught at a high level in a progressive and proficient manner, with wellness at the core of the program. Benefit from gymnastics and fitness-focused prompts while building strength, agility, balance, and flexibility in this dynamic small-group youth personal training offering. Participants will also have the opportunity to engage in a thoughtful craft at the end of each class.   Laura Chadha is a Certified Personal Trainer with a strong background in gymnastics, functional fitness, and coaching.
