Bus Driver Training

School bus
Bus drivers are in high demand here at RSU5 and across the state. This program offers hand-on instruction, preparing you to earn your CDL Class B Driver’s License with P&S endorsement. The weekly in-person class will also include free access to online and independent training and testing options.

Once you pass the state-administered certification test (with all fees waived), you will receive on-road training with our buses. Bus drivers must also pass a Maine Department of Education Criminal History and Records Check.

The first session is Thursday, December 16, but NOTE: attending every session is not required. Attend as often as you like, get the instruction you need to study for your test, and once you pass your test you're done!

This class is FREE OF CHARGE and testing/licensing reimbursements are offered for those who drive for RSU5 after they take part in the class. Join us!
