Valerie Carpentier, known in the writing community under the pen name of Margaret Ellis Raymond, will be offering 4, 2-hour virtual writing workshops. Valerie Carpentier received her editing certification from Berkeley University and spends her spare time freelance editing for aspiring authors.
These once a week, 2-hour fiction workshops are broken into 30-minute periods: direct instruction, practicing the skill, free writing, and sharing/group feedback. Sharing is optional! Specific topics that will be explored are: writing emotion, first chapter do's & don'ts, revising vs. editing, writing dialogue; other topics will be decided by the group.
