The RSU5 Community Programs Fall Soccer League is designed for children to learn, develop, and enhance their overall skills while having fun and gaining experience on the field and as part of a team. Participants will play games on Saturday mornings and participate in one practice during the week. Practice days/times are TBD and will likely begin the first week in September.
Once teams are finalized a coach will contact you. If you have a specific day or time that you CANNOT practice, please indicate this when signing up. In an effort to create equally balanced teams, we cannot accommodate all specific team/coach requests.
When you register, you will be asked where you would prefer to practice. You may choose either Durham or Freeport, and we will do all that we can to place your child on a team that practices in that town. Early registration and parent volunteers are integral to making sure we can accomodate all players and their requests.
The teams grades 1-4 will play six games, one each Saturday morning. Games last about an hour. If we have projected numbers correctly, children choosing Durham teams will play at least half of their games in Durham and the other in Freeport; those choosing Freeport should play 4–5 games at Hunter Road Fields, Pownal Road Field and 1-2 games in Durham.
For the Grades 5-6 we would like to have 2 teams (one boys and one girls) if there will be enough players registered, but we might have only one Co-ed team if the numbers will be under our estimations. Also, for grades 5-6, one practice will be in Durham at DCS and one in Freeport at Hunter Road Field. The games will be played at Hunter Road Field or away.
Schedules will be available in early September.
