Travel basketball involves teams from surrounding communities and is a competitive program. After players are placed on teams, games and practices will begin in mid-November. Teams will practice once or twice a week and play games as often as twice a weekend. The league season runs from December to February or March and all games are on weekends. Parent Coaches and assistants are needed in order to run this program.
This season, all teams will play in the Southern Maine Hoops League and play all games at Maine Basketball Academy (Portland), Maine Sports Arena (Saco), or Brunswick Recreation Center.
Teams cannot form until we have enough players and volunteer coaches to guarantee they will run. There will be a required Evaluation Night on October 29th for all potential 5/6 players. If we do not have enough coaches to form teams with all present players, cuts are possible. Registration after October 26th will only be accepted if there is room in the program.
7/8 grade Teams will only be listed below if we have a reasonable number of players registered and a Coach at each grade level. If you do not see a team for your grade/gender, please sign up for the waitlist and you will be contacted if we have enough registrants.
